We’re bringing Australia’s geocaching community together in print with Geocaching News Australia, our new limited-edition magazine. And we need your help with stories and photos that celebrate the people, places and clever ideas behind this wonderful hobby.
Whether you’re a first-time finder, a weekend adventurer or a long-time cache owner, your experiences could help bring the magazine to life.
Share your geocaching stories and photos
You don’t need to be a professional writer or photographer. We’re interested in genuine experiences from the geocaching community. Perhaps you have a memorable first find, a milestone adventure, a funny caching moment, a creative container, an event story or a favourite photo from the trail.
A short story is a great starting point. Tell us what happened, what made it special and why other geocachers might enjoy it. Please keep secret cache locations and puzzle solutions out of your submission so the adventure stays intact for future finders!
How to send us your contribution
Email your stories and photos to admin@justgeocaching.com with the subject line Magazine story and photo submission.
To help us review your contribution, include:
- Your story, or a brief outline of the idea you’d like to share.
- Your name and geocaching name, plus how you’d like to be credited.
- Your original, high-resolution photos where available.
- A short caption for each photo explaining what it shows.

The first edition is a 24-page A4 magazine, limited to 100 printed copies, with shipping currently listed for late November. The planned content includes CachePie, 3D-printed geocache containers, geocaching shareables, upcoming events and a geocaching-themed crossword. Check the pre-order page for the latest details.
